Hello! I am Sara Hurd, a classically trained opera singer, musical theatre performer, and professional voice actor with a lifelong love of storytelling.

As an English literature major, I developed a deep appreciation for language, character, tone, and the power of a well-told story. That foundation continues to shape my work behind the microphone, whether I’m voicing a commercial, e-learning module, explainer video, corporate narration, healthcare and wellness script, or long-form narration project.

Before launching my voiceover career, I spent more than fifteen years working in the judicial branch, where clarity, neutrality, professionalism, and trust were essential. That experience reinforced a belief I bring to every script: how something is said matters just as much as the words themselves.

Today, I bring together performance, communication, and education. Alongside voiceover, I teach music and art to young children, helping them stay engaged, absorb new ideas, and connect with the material in front of them. Those same skills shape my voiceover work, allowing me to deliver reads that feel clear, credible, warm, and genuinely human.

My voice is calm, grounded, trustworthy, and approachable, and I approach every project with preparation, precision, and care.

In addition to my voiceover and performance work, I serve on the boards of Lamplighters Music Theatre in San Francisco and Opera on Tap Las Vegas, where I support the local arts community and stay connected to live storytelling from both the creative and organizational sides.
